hen Jesus
wanted to tell his followers what living a life of faith should look like, he told them this story:
The kingdom of God is like a treasure hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field...(Matthew 13:44)
he search
for faith - a search for meaningful and authentic living, a search for wholeness and hope - is the
lifelong task of every Christian. In this task, we are like the treasure hunter in the story above. Led by God’s
Spirit, we search out the treasures of faithful living as we follow Jesus together.
his is the
task of all Christians, both old and young. At Faith Lutheran Church, we've taken it as our mission
to nurture "Christ’s life in every heart." A vital part of that mission is guiding our children as they search
out their own treasures of faithful living, and receive the life of Christ in their hearts.
Faith Quest
aith Quest is our
Sunday morning children's discipleship program. Each Sunday morning at 9:00 AM, we meet in the Faith Quest room
for video worship, where the children (grades PreK-5) sing and praise with other children alongside music videos.
The group then splits into three groups of grades PreK-K, grades 1-2, and grades 3-5 for teaching and activities
based around the Bible story and lesson for the day. We use two sets of two-year series for the younger children,
and a three-year series for the older children so that they will have gone through the Bible three times between
PreK and 5th Grade. Regular attendance is highly encouraged, and take-home sheets continue the learning
throughout the week. Parents are welcome to be involved. Children (and parents) also get together on Friday
nights for games and fellowship. And keep your ears open for our quarterly Parents Night Out, when the children
come together at Faith for an evening of play time while their parents have an evening out to themselves.
Faith Affirmation
aith Affirmation
is our Junior High Discipleship Model. While Faith Quest acquaints the children with the stories of the Bible,
Faith Affirmation digs deeper into the faith life of the student, not only intellectually, but also actively. Each
Sunday morning at 9:00 AM, we review the week’s lesson through devotion and Bible readings, followed by prayer
time and accountability for the students. On Sunday evenings from 5:00-7:00 PM, we gather for readings, skits,
activities, games, and teachings that not only explain the lesson for the day, but also transform the youth
accordingly. There are also quarterly outings - two retreats and two mission trips - each year to further cement
the students' fellowship with one another as well as their purpose of service and mission. Regular attendance is
highly encouraged. By the time the youth finish their three years of Faith Affirmation, they will have encountered
Jesus in the Word and communal fellowship to affirm their baptized faith in Jesus and their desire to be His
disciples.
Faith Fuel
aith Fuel is our
Senior High Discipleship Model. While Faith Affirmation brings the student into the life of discipleship, Faith
Fuel leads the youth along the first steps of that discipleship, including active service and mission. Each
Sunday morning at 9:00 AM, we discuss world and Church topics and current events, followed by prayer time and
accountability for the students. Our weekend activities, though, change from week to week. Every month, we
alternate each week between the 4 "S's" of ministry: study, social, service, and spread. These activities will
include prayer time, youth game nights, community service, and evangelism training. There also will be quarterly
outings - two retreats and two mission trips - each year for the students to live out their fellowship with one
another as well as their purpose of service and mission. Regular attendance is highly encouraged. By the time the
youth finish their four years of Faith Fuel, they will be prepared to live out their faith as adults at school,
work, and home.
Faith Camp
aith Camp is our
summer series of day camps. Each July, Faith Lutheran Church hosts the staff of Mt. Cross Ministries as they lead
the children (who are at least entering Kindergarten) through stories, crafts, games, and activities that teach
them about God's Word, Jesus Christ, and what it means to follow Christ. The first week is a week of training for
activity staffers (those who have finished 6th-8th grade), staff apprentices (those who have finished 9th grade),
and team staffers (those who have finished 10th-12th grade) to learn how to interact with each other and the
children, as well as how to maintain discipline and focus while showing Christ to the children. The second and
third weeks are day camp weeks, during which the young adult staffers from Mt. Cross join the activity staffers,
staff apprentices, and team staffers from Faith Lutheran to host Faith Camp from 9 AM-5 PM, Monday through Friday,
each week. There is also a dinner on Thursday nights for the families of Faith Campers to enjoy fellowship and fun
with Faith Camp staff and other families.

hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in
hope. (Romans 15:13)
